Until recently the CTS was sized between 5 series and 3 series, that wasn't working well despite getting Cadillac back on the map. So we got the ATS and a bigger (lighter) CTS. Now this TLX thing is sort of an in between-er. Being in between didn't work the best for Cadillac. Acura needs a revolution. They need to rethink everything (except maybe the MDX).

I know that Acura likes to sell fwd/awd cars but I think they need to pull a Cadillac/Lexus and make a dedicated rwd platform and put the Acura TL on it. The last thing you need is a fwd, beige luxury car. Acura needs to be exciting again.

No INCLUDING the MDX! In 2007 their future looked so promising. The TSX, TL, MDX they all looked great, and were selling well. Then suddenly things went downhill with this flagship grille. It's time to concede, and start all over with real car designers. Not "artists" that know nothing about what people want in a cars style. Drop the jewel headlights too they're ugly. I own a 2009 MDX, and I was really anticipating the 2014 MDX. I figured they learned from their mistakes the last few years, and this replacement would be the start of a revolution at Acura. I was soo disappointed. It's worse that the 2010-2013 MDX. They've also fell behind in efficiency. Everyone has 7-8 spd transmissions now, but they just came out with a 6spd. My wifes 2011 X5 has more power AND averages 4 MPG better than my MDX AND it handles better too.

Don't forget, "inbetweener" doesn't work for anyone. See: Ford Contour in America. I'm sure there are older examples, too.
